GITAM GAT 2026 will offer entry into various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs at Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) campuses across India. General Eligibility Criteria for GITAM GAT 2026

  1. Nationality
  • Candidates must be of Indian nationality to apply for GITAM GAT 2026.
  1. Academic Qualification
  • For UG programs (like B. Tech, BArch, BSc, B. Pharm):
  • Candidates should have completed or should be appearing for the 10+2 examination (higher secondary) in 2025 or 2026 from a recognized board.
  • For PG programs (like M. Tech, MSc, MA, MBA):
  • Applicants need a relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  1. Minimum Marks Required
  • Most programs require a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or a CGPA of 6.0 in the qualifying examination. For candidates from CBSE/ICSE boards, the minimum aggregate required is slightly relaxed (55%).
  • Lateral entry candidates and architecture/design programs may have separate aggregate requirements.
  1. Qualifying Subjects
  • For B. Tech (all streams except Biotechnology): Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in 10+2.
  • For B. Tech Biotechnology: Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and either Mathematics or Biology in 10+2.
  • For B. Pharm and B.Sc. (Paramedical): Biology is required along with Physics, Chemistry, and English.
  • For BArch: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in 10+2 and a valid NATA score.

Other undergraduate courses specify various subject requirements based on the chosen field.

  1. Relaxations & Special Criteria
  • Reserved category (SC/ST) applicants may get a relaxation of up to 5% in minimum required marks for some courses.
  • Candidates with diploma qualifications may be eligible for lateral entry to B. Tech, provided they meet the minimum percentage criteria and branch specialization.
  • Some programs (like Law, Humanities, and Paramedical fields) have specialized subject or background requirements.

  • While there is no specific age limit for most programs, candidates are generally expected to have completed 17 years by the time of admission.
