  • Click the “Register” or “Apply for CLAT 2026” button on the homepage.

  • Enter name, mobile number, email ID, and create a password.
  • Fill in the captcha code if required and submit basic details.
  • Verify the registration via OTP sent to the registered email or mobile number.
  • Activate the account using the verification link or OTP.

  • Complete the sections: personal info (as per official IDs), communication details, academic qualifications, test centre preferences (choose at least three), and reservation details if applicable.
  • College preference selection for NLUs is required in this stage.

  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Signature (on white paper, blue/black ink)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • PwD or domicile certificate as applicable
  • 10th and 12th mark sheets
  • Valid photo ID (Aadhaar/Voter ID/Passport)

All documents must be uploaded in prescribed file formats (generally JPG/JPEG, max 500KB per document).

  1. Fee Payment

  • Application fee payment is in online mode only.
  • General/ OBC / PwD/ NRI/ PIO/ OCI: INR 4,000/-
  • SC/ ST/ BPL: INR 3,500/-
  • Optional: INR 500 extra for previous years’ question papers.
  • Fees are non-refundable.

  • An additional INR 500 is charged if the candidate opts to purchase previous years' CLAT question papers.

How to Recover Forgotten Login Credentials?

If by any chance, candidates forget their registered password or login credentials, the following steps should be followed (the process closely mirrors standard online account recovery procedures) to recover their credentials as listed below.

  • Visit the CLAT Consortium homepage and access the login window.
  • Click on “Forgot Password?” beneath the login fields.
  • Enter the registered email ID or mobile number as prompted.
  • An OTP or password reset link will be sent to the registered email/mobile.
  • Follow the link or enter the provided OTP to set a new password and regain access.
  • If both email and mobile are inaccessible, candidates must contact CLAT Consortium support via official channels for manual verification and assistance.

Other Important Information

  • Only those who complete all steps correctly will be issued the admit card and allowed to sit for CLAT 2026.
  • An application correction window may be available after form submission for candidates to rectify errors, but supporting documents may be required during corrections.
  • Multiple registrations using the same email/phone number are not permitted.
