Faculty: One of the strongest aspects of Malla Reddy University is its faculty. Most professors are highly qualified, with many holding PhDs and industry experience. They are approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about student success. My personal favorite is Dr. Rajeshwari Ma’am from the Cybersecurity department. She’s not just an excellent teacher, but also a great mentor. Her way of explaining complex topics like network vulnerabilities and ethical hacking is so clear and engaging—it made me fall in love with the subject. She always encourages us to ask questions, try hands-on tools like Kali Linux and Wireshark, and even shares extra learning resources beyond the syllabus. What I appreciate most is her humility and dedication. She’s always available after class hours, especially during project submissions and hackathon prep. Her feedback is constructive, and she never hesitates to push us to do better. Overall, most of the faculty at MRU are friendly and supportive. While a few may follow more traditional teaching methods, the majority are open to discussions, practical learning, and innovation. The environment feels less like a typical classroom and more like a collaborative space for learning and growth.
Placements: Malla Reddy University provides good support when it comes to placements and internships. Around 70–75% of eligible students from our batch got placed through the campus placement drives. The Training & Placement Cell is quite active—they conduct regular aptitude training, mock interviews, and soft skill sessions that genuinely help. Some of the top companies that visited our campus include TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Deloitte, Accenture, IBM, and Amazon. A few startups and mid-size tech firms also offered roles in development, testing, cybersecurity, and data science. The highest package I heard was around ?23 LPA (off-campus but university-supported), while the average package ranges from ?4 to ?6 LPA, depending on the branch and skills. In my case, I got shortlisted for a cybersecurity internship during a campus drive, and it gave me great exposure to how real-world networks and vulnerabilities are handled. While some students do manage to crack off-campus or referral-based jobs, the university still helps in resume building and interview prep. One thing I liked is that even if you’re applying off-campus, the faculty are supportive and help with recommendation letters or portfolio reviews. Internship opportunities are mostly in the summer, and while not all are paid, many of us got stipends ranging between ?5,000–?15,000 per month.
