SMIT 2025 Application Form

Online Application Form for SMIT:

• Registration: Applicants need to register themselves by entering their name, address, email ID, and mobile number.
• They will be sent a validation link with their login ID which is their Email ID as well as a password to log in.
• Candidates must use the link and log in. They must purchase the prospectus for Rs 600 online and thereafter proceed to fill in the application details.
• Filling Details - After payment of the prospectus fee, Candidates must enter their personal details, address, educational and academic details
• Upload Signature & Photograph - Candidates need to upload scanned photographs & signatures in .jpg format only with a maximum file size of 200KB and dimensions of 200 px x 200 pixels.
• Application Fee Payment - After uploading the signature & photograph, they need to complete the payment process.

Offline Application Form:

• Download Application Form - Candidates need to download the application form. And fill it in their own handwriting preferably in capital letters
• Filling Details - Applicants need to fill and complete the details section by providing the required information which includes personal details, contact details, etc.
• Candidates must affix a recent photograph not older than three months in the space provided
• Application Fee through Demand Draft – The payment must be made through DD in favour of `“Sikkim Manipal University” payable at “Gangtok”.
• Candidates must enter the payment details of the DD in the form.
• The application form duly filled in with the photograph must be sent to the university along with the DD. Mention the name of the candidate and application no on the reverse of the DD.

SMIT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualification

Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects

Optional subjects in 10+2 include Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science

Entrance Exams

Candidates must have cleared the following .exams:

MU OET 2025

JEE Main 2025

SMIT B.Tech Admission Test 2025

Percentage of marks in the qualifying exams

Candidates belonging to the general category must score at least 50% aggregate marks in the subjects that are mentioned in the ‘academic qualification’ section of this table

Candidates belonging to SC, ST OBC category must score at least 45% aggregate marks in the 10+2 level

SMIT 2025 Exam Pattern

• The Exam will be conducted in offline mode
• The time duration of the exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes
• The total no of questions in the exam will be 200 questions
• All questions will be MCQ-type questions with 4 options
• 1 Mark will be provided for each right answer

SMIT 2025 Syllabus

SMIT 2025 Syllabus for passing the cut-off marks of the exam and taking the admission. In the exam, the questions will be asked from Physic, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and General Aptitude. The level of the exam will be the 12^th class board exam.

SMIT Admit Card 2025

The hall ticket for SMIT B.Tech 2025 will tentatively be available in April 2025. Candidates will have to download the e-hall ticket of SMIT B.Tech 2025 on the A-4 sheet by entering the application number and password. It is pertinent for the candidates to take two printouts of the SMIT B.Tech admit card. Candidates will not be sent the SMIT B.Tech admit card by post. They will receive it by email. Apart from the hall ticket of SMIT B.Tech 2025, candidates will have to carry any one of the photo identity proofs i.e. voted ID card, passport, driver's license, PAN card or college photo bearing identity card.

SMIT 2025 Result

Sikkim Manipal University is likely to announce the result of SMIT B.Tech 2025 tentatively in the first week of May 2025. The SMIT B.Tech 2025 result will also consist of the ranks of the candidates. The ranks of the candidates will be determined on the basis of the total marks scored by them in the SMIT 2025 offline entrance exam. In case of a case, the following steps will be taken:

A candidate who scores more marks in Mathematics will be placed higher in the rank

If the tie still persists, a candidate who scores more marks in chemistry followed by Physics will be ranked higher.

SMIT 2025 Counselling

Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) will conduct the counselling in two phases for all the candidates who have qualified for the SMIT B.Tech entrance exam and those who have qualified the JEE Main 2025 entrance exam. Candidates will have to be physically present at the time of SMIT B.Tech 2025 Counselling and they will have to bring with them the documents that are listed below:

• Date of birth / Class X Pass Certificate
• Marks sheet of 10th pass exam
• SMIT B.Tech Hall Ticket 2025
• Original JEE score card (if appeared)
• Transfer certificate or school/college leaving certificate issued by the school/college. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted.
• Conduct and character certificate to be obtained on the school/college letterhead/pad. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted.
• Migration certificate from previous University/Board
• Sponsoring/domicile certificates for various reserved categories
• Documents as required for admission in Defence, North East, PMF and NRI categories.
• Four recent and identical passport size photographs
