JIPMER PG 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

The JIPMER PG (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research Postgraduate) entrance exam is a national-level examination conducted for admission into various MD/MS programs offered by JIPMER, Puducherry. JIPMER offers a comprehensive range of postgraduate (PG) programs, including MD, MS, and MDS, as well as super-specialty courses such as DM and M.Ch., catering to the advanced academic and professional aspirations of medical graduates. The exam is known to be highly competitive and aimed to select candidates based on their comprehensive understanding of medical sciences. However, since 2020, the JIPMER PG entrance test has been merged with the NEET PG exam, under the direction of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Therefore, admissions to PG medical courses at JIPMER are now based on NEET PG scores.
